Tasmanian Flora in the Lightbox

A wonderful display of Tasmanian flora created by members of Stitching and Beyond to herald spring and our upcoming Biennial Out of Hand exhibition.

Leading up to the Out of Hand exhibition, Stitching and Beyond creates a themed display for the LightBox to help promote the exhibition. This year our theme is Tasmanian Flora.

Members have created leaves, flowers, seed pods and other items showing the beauty and diversity of our wonderful Tasmanian flora. The items have been created from a variety of techniques, including stitching, weaving and felting and using a range of different textiles and fibres.

You can see the exhibit in the Lightbox window space at Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart.

We encourage you to take a stroll down Salamanca Place from 3 September and stop at the Lightbox to enjoy the display!
