Stitch lies at the core of Stitching and Beyond, and a group of us thought it would be fun to spend our first reinstated Play Day exploring embedding and embellishment as stitch techniques. Diane Savona first introduced us to the concept many years ago with her very successful Quiltography workshops which you can also view in our gallery. Images of one of Diane’s pieces are also included below (owned by one of our lucky members).
There were 12 of us present on the day, playing with different ideas and materials. An enjoyable day was had, resulting in some very innovative stitched pieces.
