Diane Savona’s work is quite unique – she writes “My textile works are art and archaeology. They are the stories of past generations. By deconstructing past artefacts and preserving them in an archaeological presentation, I hope to change viewer perception of our textile heritage.” She intrigues us with so many new techniques including embedding objects between the layers of a quilt. Her boundless energy and understanding of every student’s journey won her great admiration and respect.
