Let’s Explore – Lift Your Art Supplies Game!

Ever had the experience of knowing you have exactly the right art medium or piece of textile for your project, but you just can’t find it? You are not alone! This month Ursula Harris will lead us in exploring ways to choose, store and organise your stash.
Learn the tips & tricks of choosing, storing, and making the most of your art supplies. Apply this to your stash by creating clever colour swatches and systems for your supplies – whether pens, pencils, fabrics, markers or paints. You’ll wonder how you lived without them!
Come prepared to share your suggestions and secrets.

What to bring
We have provided a list of materials to consider bringing. Please don’t buy – just bring what you already have in your stash!
- Examples of how you store your art supplies and fabrics (physically or in photos)
- Your art supplies to create colour swatches (watercolours, acrylics, coloured pencils, markers, pens, plus glues and mediums, etc.)
- A blank book, light cardboard, and/or different types of fabric to make swatches
- A pencil, eraser and marker
- Fine paint brushes for watercolour or acrylic paints
- Your lunch (there are also shops nearby if you prefer) Note: your membership provides tea, green tea, instant coffee, milk and mugs
- Alternatively, bring your choice of another project.

How to join KWC and attend our regular Explore Days
- Any financial member of the Kingborough Women’s Club (KWC) ($40 per annum) is welcome to join our monthly Let’s Explore Sundays at no extra cost.
- If you aren’t already a KWC member you can apply here then scan or photograph your form and email it to sandbmemberships@gmail.com with “KWC Application” in the header.
Alternatively, you could bring the form with you on a Let’s Explore Sunday.
- Once we reply to your email, then please make payment directly to KWC.
The annual fee is $40 and is due 1 July each year.
