Members also love to find out about books you have discovered, workshops or online challenges you have taken part in, exhibitions you have seen….anything textile, fibre, or paper-arts related! Or simply come along for a social time and a chat.

A sample of members’ work was shared at our March Gathering in both North and South. As a special treat in the South, Chris brought along some of her textiles collected on her travels!
Northern members enjoyed gathering under the shade of Rowena’s deck overlooking the Tamar River. It was too hot in the Studio and shady and cool on the deck. We welcomed a new member and chatted, challenged and inspired each other as we worked on our various projects – stitching, embroidery, patchwork, collage and free motion sewing (see the special picture of Jane sewing “en plein air” in the Gallery photos!). The next Challenge “At the bottom of the garden” was discussed and members urged to prepare an entry. We thank the committee of Stitching & Beyond (and Rowena, for her studio venue) for allowing us the fabulous opportunity to connect with S&B textile creatives, on a regular basis, in Launceston.
