Moonah Arts Centre

Looking to shop locally for Christmas? Drop by the Moonah Makers Market on December 9, 10 am – 2 pm which will be spilling out of the galleries and around the grounds of Moonah Arts Centre,

You still have time to catch the Glenorchy Open. The exhibition features artworks by artists, from emerging to established, working in a variety of media including painting, drawing, print media, sculpture, installation, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital media, and more.


Salamanca Arts Centre

Continuum by Emma Bingham opens December 1st and runs until the end of January. Expanding from a practice of drawing and printmaking, she utilizes the inherent physical and metaphorical properties of materials to create abstract objects, images, and installation artworks. 

Not Just Paint 9 showcases the artistic talents of the entire UTAS community and features works from across the disciplines in a wide range of various mediums.

Images of Tasmania 26 is an evolving annual exhibition of around 40 Tasmanian artists, with links to the UTAS School of Creative Arts in its various incarnations, where artists present engaging mini-exhibitions in a wide variety of media and approaches.


School House Gallery

The School House Gallery at Rosny’s exhibition Devotion-An Ode to Oceans sees participating artists come together to present a multimedia exhibition, conveying their devotion through painting, photography, sculpture, sound, text, and weaving.

India Kenning constructs abstract narratives using recycled materials and personal disused paintings; stitched and assembled together. She interprets the landscape through gestural mark-making and colour, revealing elements of place and her relationship to the environment.  Her exhibition Field Notes opens on 12th January
