Mahdi Chandler is running workshops at her studio in Gordon from January to April 2023.
- January 7/8 Mixed media collage with a focus on book forms. Notebooks, pamphlets, single sheet, folded book forms, simple binding, print, dye and collage.
- February 18/19 Baskets coiled, stitched and woven from the bush, garden and water’s edge.
- February 25/26 Forest Fragments seasonal botanical print and dye on paper and cloth.
- April 15/16 Simply IrRESISTible resist/shibori techniques for Indigo, rust and botanical dye.
All these workshops run over 2 days from 10 to 4 both days. They are small, a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 4 participants which allows Mahdi to cater for all levels of experience and individual areas of interest.
The tuition fee is $200.00 for 2 days and there is a materials fee of $40.00 for each workshop. Morning tea is provided and lunch is shared.
