Remains the 3rd Monday of the month, same location in Riverside, Launceston.
Northern Group (Riverside) resumed for the Year of the Fire Horse 2026, on Monday 16th February. It was so wonderful to be back in the Studio with our members excited about forthcoming activities. We did have two off travelling, and a couple of apologies but those attending spent some pleasurable hours working on projects and planning and of course catching up since Christmas.

St. Mary’s Group:
A fledgling north-eastern group has begun! January was a meeting of working on WIP. We are still very enthusiastic to move the group into a united learning and sharing environment.
February was a meeting of learning and sharing. Members attending Rita, Barbara, Tracey, Sherrie.
We held a mini workshop on limited colour palette with acrylics – Rita preferred her natural powder paints.
1. Primary colours yellow, red, blue warm colours including white and black.
2. mother colour. Mix equal parts of yellow, red, blue.
3. mix Primary colours and mother colour to create new colours
4. mix secondary colours and mother colour to create new colours
Next play was fabric paints from Kraftkolour and prepared for dyeing fabric.
1. wet fabric and paint for a soft finish
2. reducer and paint with scrubbing brush is a darker result
3. we played on the a5 piece of fabric, covering and playing
Next meeting is felt birds with embroidery, beads and embellished.
