Workshop: Sculptural Twining (Mary Hettmansperger)

Using 6-7 ply waxed linen students learned to twine a small basket. Students learnt how to create texture, bumps, directional changes, and tunnels. Students also painted their linen to become uniquely theirs. They will also learnt a variety of techniques to incorporate this type of weaving into found objects, alternative bases and materials.
