Stitching and Beyond groups met on Monday 18 November for our regular monthly get together.
The Southern group enjoyed a “show and tell” of completed and works in progress and enjoyed much chatter.
The Northern group had a fun day exploring embossing techniques on various mediums using an embossing machine and various hand embossing tools for mark making. Use of the sewing machine to punch for stitching was also fun. Northern member, Lynne Hargreaves, led the day and guided others in the ways of metal (aluminium in particular) which could be annealed over the gas hob, embossed, pierced and then embellished. We discovered many ways to stitch, colour and attach pieces.
