Southern members brought along finished Kawandi pieces to the May Gathering, along with other interesting finished textiles and works in progress. As always, plenty of chatter, exchange of resources, techniques and ideas afterwards.
The last few Northern gatherings have encompassed machine stitching with members bringing their own equipment along. Embellishing/felting, freehand stitching, couching and the use of embroidery hoops with machines has been demonstrated and put into practice.
