Join us at Kingborough Women’s Club (KWC) to socially stitch and explore textiles in any way you wish at this great facility. You may like to work on your Challenge (due 21 August), Lightbox or Out of Hand entries.

Building Stitch Surfaces
Run away from home for a day of enjoying textiles!

People who’ve attended previous Sundays said they’d like to try combining other techniques with stitch. Let’s see what we discover by adding or applying layers or cutting away layers, or stitching many layers and then cutting into them, or stuffing parts …. there’s a lot more to discover! Some materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring something from your stash to share.

Feel free to work on your own projects if you prefer.

What to bring

• Any previous works you may wish to alter/continue
• Small pieces backing fabric and/or paper
• Usual sewing needles and threads
• Your glue of choice
• A pair of scissors
• No preconceived ideas!
• Your lunch (or cash to purchase lunch nearby), tea and/or coffee and a mug

Any financial Stitching and Beyond member who is also a member of the KWC ($40 per year from July 1) is welcome to join our Sundays at no extra cost. Check here for details on how to join the KWC.
