SUMMARY:Collagraph Printing on Fabric
DESCRIPTION:Artist Nikki D’Emden will guide participants on a fun exploratory day\, making low relief collagraph plates and exploring printing effects\, mostly on fabric but paper is also a possibility.  \nA collagraph is a print made from a block that is constructed from low level collaged materials such as cardboard\, string\, lace\, glue\, split peas\, netting\, flat leaves or pasta. \nIdeally printing is done with a press\, but fabric printing is best done by hand printing with a hard roller or baren. Collagraph printing is an easy way to embellish fabric which can be then enhanced further with hand colouring\, stitching or beading.
